A Clemson transfer wide receiver is set to visit this Big 12 school.
Troy Stellato confirmed to The Clemson Insider on Monday that he will be visiting West Virginia on Sunday, Jan. 5.
Stellato was the first Clemson player to announce his entry to the transfer portal following the 2024 regular season. The redshirt junior will have two years of eligibility remaining.
Stellato battled injuries for much of his career with the Tigers, but he had carved out a role in the offense over the past two seasons. He started six games in 2023 and five more in 2024.
Stellato’s 2024 campaign came to an end after playing just eight snaps against Pitt on Nov. 16. He underwent season-ending hand surgery in November.
A former four-star prospect, Stellato caught 25 passes for 264 yards and a touchdown across nine games in 2024. His seven catches in the win over Virginia were a career high, as were his 74 receiving yards. The 6-foot-1, 190-pounder from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., finished his career as a Tiger (2021-24) with 65 receptions for 600 yards and two touchdowns in 23 games.
Following his decision to enter the portal, Stellato shared his reasons with The Clemson Insider, and now he’s in the process of finding his next college home.
Stellato made a visit to ACC foe Louisville on Dec. 12.
