Clemson Pro Steps up To Make Young Fan’s Day

This Clemson pro took some time to make a kid’s day prior to the Sunday Night Football matchup between the Atlanta Falcons and Washington Commanders.

Former Tiger and current Falcons wide receiver Ray-Ray McCloud came through for a young fan before Sunday night’s game.

Per Fox 5 Sports reporter Mary Alex Anders, a young Commanders fan spent all of pregame waiting and trying to get an autograph, and McCloud was the lone player to make that happen just a couple minutes before kickoff:

McCloud went on to record a reception for 13 yards on one target and also had a 14-yard rush on one carry during Atlanta’s 30-24 overtime loss at Washington.

The 5-foot-9, 190-pounder been productive in his first season with the Falcons. Through 16 games, McCloud has posted career highs in catches (58) and receiving yards (620), to go with 79 rushing yards on 10 carries as well as 14 kickoff returns for 361 yards.

McCloud signed with the Falcons this past offseason after spending the last two seasons with the San Francisco 49ers. Prior to that, the veteran receiver/return specialist had stints with the Pittsburgh Steelers (2020-21), Buffalo Bills (2019-20) and Carolina Panthers (2019). He began his NFL career with the Bills in 2018 after being selected by the franchise in the sixth round of the 2018 NFL Draft.
