After committing to Clemson back in August, Brock Bradley made it a point to get to campus multiple times this season.
The 3-star quarterback, out of Spain Park (AL), was on hand for the season-opener against Georgia in Atlanta and was then in Clemson for the Louisville and South Carolina games.
Bradley now plans to return to town for the Elite Retreat on January 25, one of Clemson’s marquee recruiting events each year.
The 6-foot-1, 185-pound signal caller is coming off an impressive junior season that saw him help lead Spain Park to a 12-1 record. The team’s only loss came to Saraland in the quarterfinals of the 6A playoffs, which snapped a 17-game winning streak for the Jaguars.
Bradley finished the season completing 66% of his passes for 2,687 yards with 32 touchdowns to just six interceptions. He also had six rushing touchdowns.
It was a season of growth for not only Bradley, but the entire Spain Park offense that averaged 36.6 points per game.
“We had our best season in school history. Region champions,” Bradley told The Clemson Insider. “We went 12-1. It was a really historic year for us. We broke a lot of records. Not only as a team, but as an offense. We had the highest amount of points per game than any Spain Park offense. So definitely a historic year and just super, super happy for it.”
After starting a handful of games as a freshman, Bradley took over the role full-time as a sophomore. The growth he’s experienced as a quarterback over the past year or so was on full display throughout his junior campaign.
“Light years; lot of growth for sure,” Bradley said. “The game just slowing down for me and me seeing things a little faster. It’s been great to be under center for a few years and experience and see a lot of different defenses.”
Bradley is one of two quarterbacks committed to Clemson in the 2026 recruiting class. He is joined by 4-star Tait Reynolds, who committed in July. While the two will be battling it out for playing time once they arrive on campus, for now they are both focused on doing their part to help the Tigers put together a solid class.
“Me and Tait have met each other and we’re both super excited to compete and work together to ultimately bring in the best guys that we can to help build this class,” Bradley added. “It’s just been great recruiting and trying to help us build a super-talented class.”
Bradley has also gotten close with 4-star CB commit Shavar Young Jr. The two have often discussed how to go about helping Clemson land some of its top recruiting targets.
“We recruit together a lot,” said Bradley. “We talk about who we are looking to get and whatnot. Using Twitter, shooting each other DM’s. All that stuff comes in handy. Any way we can just try and build the best class possible.”
How Bradley goes about helping recruit isn’t complicated. The goal is to pitch potential targets on the same things that attracted him to the Clemson program.
“I try to sell to other guys what I see in Clemson,” he said. “The fact that they’re one of the very few schools that values academics to the extent that they do. And they just competed in the playoff this year. A top program that pretty much gives you everything you can ask for.”
When a player believes in a school as much as Bradley believes in Clemson, it makes the pitch that much easier. And when he gets back to campus for the Elite Retreat, surrounded by some of the Tigers’ most coveted targets, that is exactly what he will be doing.
“ It’s pretty easy, I mean, obviously, I believe in Clemson and everything that they’re about,” Bradley said. “I obviously believe in what they do. So, just trying to perceive that to other recruits.”
