5-Star Signee Turning Heads at All-American Bowl

Amare Adams is making his presence felt at the Navy All-American Bowl.

Over the first two days of practice, the 5-star Clemson signee has been one of the standouts.

247Sports named Adams as the Senior Alpha Dog of day one.

“It has been a few years since we have seen a prospect like Amare Adams in San Antonio,” said Andrew Ivins. “The Clemson early enrollee is the type of interior defensive lineman that can make his presence felt every single snap and he did just that on Tuesday as he totaled what would have been four sacks during the 11-on-11 periods for the East.”

“Adams is exactly how you want them to look up front and he’s an extremely coordinated mover for someone that’s hovering right around 315 pounds. He can charge up the field with his sound snap anticipation, change directions in tight quarters with ease while also anchoring against double teams. We will see how the next few days go, but Adams is making the case that he should rise even further in the rankings.”

On3 named Adams defensive MVP on day two.

As a senior, Adams helped guide South Florence to its second 4A state title in the past three years. He tallied 75 total tackles, 13 tackles for loss, six sacks, two passes deflected and a forced fumble.

The annual East vs. West matchup will be played on Saturday, January 11, in the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. The Bowl will be nationally televised, live on NBC at 1:00 PM ET, and will feature the nation’s top 100 high school football players.
