Clemson Transfer Finds New College Home

A former Clemson wide receiver has found his new college home.

Jackson Crosby committed to East Tennessee State on Sunday.

Crosby, who joined Clemson as a walk-on in 2021, entered the NCAA transfer portal in late December.

The 5-foot-10, 185-pound redshirt junior (graduate) will join ETSU after playing 31 career offensive snaps over nine games with the Tigers from 2021-24 and catching two passes for 25 yards.

A native of Six Mile, S.C., Crosby played football and baseball at Daniel High School and was a captain of the Lions’ 2020 3A state title team. He was named South Carolina 3A Offensive Back of the Year and collected All-State and All-Region honors.

Crosby played quarterback and wide receiver in high school, recording 787 career passing yards and nine passing touchdowns, to go with 67 career receptions for 852 yards and 12 touchdowns, and 250 career rushing yards with five touchdowns.

Crosby earned a degree from Clemson in management in August 2024. He initially committed to The Citadel to play football and baseball before electing to join the Tigers as a walk-on. His father, Dan, played baseball at The Citadel from 1993-95.

Crosby will have one year of eligibility remaining.
