A highly touted offensive lineman has formally released his list of favorites, with Clemson among them.
First Academy (Orlando, Fla.) four-star OL Chancellor Barclay announced his top 10 via social media Friday.
The class of 2026 recruit included Clemson in his top group, along with Alabama, Penn State, Miami, Oklahoma, West Virginia, Florida, Florida State, Georgia and Texas A&M.
“Top 10!!! Thank you to all the coaches who have been recruiting me this far. God is good all the time, and all the time God is good!!!” Barclay wrote in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
Barclay is ranked as a top-100 national prospect (No. 93 overall) in the 2026 class by Rivals, which considers him the fourth-best offensive guard in the country and the No. 13 overall prospect in the Sunshine State for his class.
Barclay owns more than two dozen offers and picked up an offer from Clemson after working out at the Dabo Swinney Camp last June. The 6-foot-4, 295-pounder returned to Tiger Town for the Louisville game this past November and received a visit from Clemson offensive line coach Matt Luke in January.
What stands out to him about Clemson?
“Definitely the culture,” Barclay told The Clemson Insider in a previous interview. “I’ve heard so many things about it, but I hadn’t actually seen it. It’s different when it comes to culture. I of course, got to experience Death Valley, the hill, it was amazing. The culture, it’s just… everything’s so different. It’s different to a point that culture is like the main thing there. That’s why coach Dabo Swinney is so respected… People see it, just through what he’s built at Clemson.”
