Lawrence Gives Injury Update, Talks HC Search, Fatherhood & More

Former Clemson star Trevor Lawrence recently sat down for a one-on-one interview with Jacksonville Jaguars team reporter Kainani Stevens.

The Jaguars franchise quarterback gave an injury update after undergoing surgery in December to repair the AC joint sprain in his left shoulder.

The 25-year-old was placed on injured reserve Dec. 4 and missed the final five games of his fourth NFL season.

“I feel good. Recovering, so I’m happy about that,” Lawrence said. “It’s been a crazy year really for everybody, but especially just me injury wise. Unfortunate I had to miss some time, but I’m feeling better finally. So, that was a rough stretch for a few weeks. But I got the surgery. I’m a little over three weeks out from it now and recovering… I’ll be back soon, so I’m happy about that.”

Lawrence also discussed a number of other topics, including the Jaguars’ “frustrating” 2024 season, the team’s head coach search, his experience as a new father following the birth of his daughter, Shae, earlier this month, and more.
