South Carolina has lost one of its top commitments in the 2026 recruiting class.
4-star LB Rodney Colton Jr. (Newnan, GA) announced a decommitment from the Gamecocks late Tuesday.
Colton had been committed to South Carolina since April of last year.
The 6-foot-1, 215-pound recruit ranks No. 127 overall in the On3 Industry Rankings and No. 9 among all linebackers. His departure leaves South Carolina with five verbal commitments in the 2026 class that On3 ranks No. 11 nationally and No. 5 in the SEC.
