One of Clemson’s more recently offered recruiting targets has locked in a spring visit to Clemson.

4-star safety Kaden Gephardt (Olentangy, Lewis Center, OH) has confirmed with The Clemson Insider that he plans to attend the Elite Retreat on March 8.

The 6-foot-2, 195-pound recruit recently released a list of his four finalists consisting of Clemson, Penn State, Wisconsin, and Ohio State.

Gephardt picked up his offer from the Tigers when he was last on campus about two weeks ago.

While his offer was recent, the blue-chip talent has a well-established relationship with new defensive coordinator Tom Allen. Before he was hired away from Penn State, Allen had been recruiting Gephardt on behalf of the Nittany Lions.

“I already had a great relationship with Coach Allen at Penn State,” Gebhardt recently told TCI. “He’s actually the one that offered me at Penn State. So I have a great relationship with him. Coach (Mickey) Conn, I love Coach Conn. He’s the one that reached out to me. Then we set up that visit to come down. I made sure to get down there as quickly as possible, that’s for sure. And then Coach (Dabo) Swinney. He’s a great dude and a great coach. You can’t get much better than that.”

The highly-touted defensive back is ranked by 247Sports as the No. 215 overall prospect in the country, No. 17 safety nationally and the eighth-best prospect in the state of Ohio for the 2026 class.
