Multiple Recruits Set to Visit for Clemson Showdown Against Duke

Clemson welcomes No. 2 Duke to Littlejohn on Saturday and will do so with multiple recruits in attendance to watch the crucial ACC showdown for the Tigers.

Zac Foster (Woodward, Atlanta, GA) and Trent Steinhour (Mooresville, Lake Norman, NC), two of Clemson’s three 2025 signees will be on hand.

Foster, a 4-star, ranks inside the Top 70 overall and No. 11 among all combo guards. The 6-foor-4 guard averaged 13.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 2.0 steals per game as a junior. He was named All-Region and Honorable Mention All-State in Georgia. His mother is in the Hall of Fame for women’s basketball at Loyola Marymount University and his brother is a senior guard at Xavier.

Foster chose Clemson over Virginia Tech.

“It’s just a winning culture with a great coach,” Foster told The Clemson Insider in a previous interview. “It’s just a winning program. Something I would just want to be around as a player.”

Steinour is a 6-10, 215-pound forward/center who ranks as a three-star, according to 247Sports. Steinour is the grandson of former Clemson big man Randy Mahaffey who played for the Tigers from 1964-67.

As a junior, Steinour averaged 16.0 points, 10.5 rebounds and 4.3 blocks per game and helped lead Lake Norman to the Elite Eight of the NCHSAA state tournament.

Georgia, Penn State, South Carolina, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest were some of the schools the Tigers beat out.

“There’s an amazing staff there,” Steinhour told TCI in a previous interview. “I really like the area, the campus, the facility and the players who went through there like PJ Hall. He’s obviously an amazing player. And they were showing me some highlights of him and film of him, how he grew up, from freshman year to junior and senior year.”

One uncommitted target set to be in attendance is up-and-coming 2027 combo guard Justin Wise (N. Oconee, Bogart, GA). The 6-foot-4 recruit already has an offer from Auburn.

Wise posted 19 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals in a recent win over 5A Rome.
