Clemson, ACC Set to Settle Ongoing Lawsuits

The ongoing lawsuit between Clemson and the ACC is nearing the end.

The Clemson Insider has confirmed with multiple sources that the two sides have agreed on a settlement. Clemson’s BOT is set to meet on Tuesday.

The settlement includes two key points, with one being a substantial increase in revenue for Clemson starting next season. The second gives the school more flexibility within the Grant of Rights, which ties the school to the conference through 2036.

Clemson originally filed suit against the ACC in Pickens County last March, “seeking confirmation of the plain language found in the Grant of Rights agreements and the related media agreements between the ACC and ESPN.” The ACC filed suit against Clemson the following day in North Carolina.
