CLEMSON — After having Tuesday off, the Clemson football team was back on the practice fields Wednesday.
The media was allowed to watch the first four and a half periods.
Offensive Observations
– As TCI previously reported, four-star offensive line recruit Adam Guthrie arrived in town on Tuesday with plans to stay through the weekend. He and his family were on hand for practice today and Guthrie immediately went over to the offensive line group, looking on intently as Matt Luke coached his players. Luke could be heard shouting “fight pressure with pressure” as the offensive linemen went through one of the drills.
– Transfer wideout Tristan Smith is still receiving a lot of individual attention. The talent is readily apparent, but it is some of the details that Tyler Grisham and new assistant Lonnie Galloway are working on with Smith. For the second straight practice, I did not see him drop a pass, and his route running was on-point.
– Speaking of route running, T.J. Moore was complimented on multiple occasions for how he was able to navigate routes on the slick field this afternoon.
– Bryant Wesco was still sporting the green jersey but took part in every drill we watched.
– Tyler Brown looks rearing to go after missing most of last season with an injury. Brown was another one who was impressive with his route running. With him fully healthy, Cade Klubnik will have one more explosive weapon at his disposal in 2025.
– Cade Klubnik was dropping dimes in one of the drills that required the quarterbacks to actually throw balls to pass catchers. Many we watch are individual drills. Every throw I saw him make was on the money.
– The running backs were involved in that drill, and freshman Gideon Davidson looks like he could be an asset in the passing game.
– I thought the ball was coming out of freshman quarterback Chris Denson’s hand much better today. Outside of one throw, the accuracy was there.
– Freshman tight end Logan Brooking is much bigger than I was expecting. He already looks the part physically.
