Clemson Lands Another Huge Commitment, Fifth of Weekend

The commitments keep rolling in for Clemson.

Four-star OL Chancellor Barcaly (First Academy, Orlando, FL) announced a commitment to the Tigers late Sunday, giving Clemson a total of five verbal pledges this weekend. Barclay chose the Tigers over Florida, Georgia and Oklahoma.

“Matt Luke brings the energy,” Barclay told TCI in a previous interview. “Most offensive line coaches all bring energy, all bring intensity. They want to see you do well. But coach Matt Luke brings energy wherever he goes. Just goes along the different stations pepping people up whenever they need to, doing drills and stuff like that. He’s yelling at top prospects. He’s just bringing the energy up. He’s bringing energy and intensity. Setting the standard high when it comes to the intensity and the level of energy you need to have just being out here doing some simple drills.”

Chancellor joins four-star OL Adam Guthrie and Grant Wise, as well as four-star WRs Naeem Burroughs and Connor Salmin, as players that committed to Clemson this weekend.

The 6-foot-4, 285-pound recruit ranks No. 116 overall at 247Sports and No. 9 among all interior linemen.

His addition gives the Tigers 10 verbal pledges in the 2026 recruiting class that is currently firmly entrenched inside of the Top 5 nationally. It’s a class that now features four offensive line commits.
