The Elite Retreat at Clemson was a rousing success.
The annual outing, one of the Tigers’ biggest recruiting events of the year, took place on Saturday, with several prospects arriving on Friday and staying through Sunday.
Clemson secured five commitments over the weekend, all from blue-chip talents, which significantly boosted the 2026 recruiting class. A sixth jumped on board Monday.
Clemson picked up commitments from three offensive linemen, as 4-stars Chance Barclay, Adam Guthrie and Grant Wise jumped on board. As did 4-star wideouts Naeem Burroughs and Connor Salmin. 3-star corner Marcell Gipson announced his commitment on Monday.
Coming into the weekend, Clemson had five 2026 commitments, and the class ranked outside of the Top 20. After the weekend, it is firmly entrenched inside of the Top 5, according to two of the services.
Only Southern Cal (13) and Kansas (11) boast more commitments than the Tigers at this point.
