Future Opponent Announced for 2029 Football Season

CLEMSON — One of Clemson’s longtime foes announced it will be playing Clemson during the 2029 Football Season.

Furman announced Monday morning it will be playing at Clemson on Nov. 17 of 2029.

The Paladins announced the addition of four Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) opponents to future Paladin schedules. Besides Clemson, Furman will play Tennessee on Sept. 5, 2026, South Carolina on Sept. 4, 2027 and Florida on Sept. 2, 2028.

Furman’s series with Clemson, another 2024 College Football Playoff participant and three-time national champion, began in 1896 and currently spans 58 games, the most recent coming in 2022.  The Paladins and Tigers are also scheduled to play on Nov. 22 of this year.

Clemson leads the all-time series against the Paladins, 44-10-4. The Tigers have won 32 straight in the series and has not lost to Furman since 1936.
