National Analyst Has Tigers Heading to Omaha

Will Clemson make it back to Omaha this season?

D1Baseball’s Kendall Rogers thinks so.

NCAA Digital host/reporter Michella Chester spoke with Rogers and Aaron Fitt of D1Baseball to get their way-too-early predictions for the Men’s College World Series (MCWS).

Fitt didn’t include Clemson in his College World Series picks but instead went with Tennessee, Arkansas, Georgia, LSU, Florida State, North Carolina, Virginia and Oregon State.

However, Rogers named Clemson among his CWS picks, along with Tennessee, Arkansas, Georgia, Florida State, UCLA, North Carolina and LSU.

“I’m going to actually go with Clemson as a team here,” Rogers said. “They’re battle-tested. I like their chances.”

Chester also picked Clemson to reach the CWS, along with Tennessee, Georgia, Arkansas, Florida State, LSU, Oklahoma and North Carolina.

If the predictions from Chester and Rogers come to fruition, it would mark Clemson’s first appearance in the College World Series since 2010.

The Tigers won Friday’s series opener against Stanford at Doug Kingsmore Stadium, improving to 32-5 (10-3 ACC) and extending their winning streak to seven games. Clemson came into Friday’s game in first place in the ACC standings and ranked as high as No. 3 in the country by Perfect Game.

Under now third-year Clemson head coach Erik Bakich, Clemson totaled 44 wins for the second year in a row in 2024 and won a regional for the first time since 2010 before falling short in the Clemson Super Regional against Florida.

The 2025 Men’s College World Series will take place in Omaha, Nebraska, from June 13 to June 22/23.
