Gordon Sellars’ commitment date is rapidly approaching.
Sellars, a four-star WR (Providence Day, Charlotte), is set to announce next Friday on April 18. Clemson, South Carolina, Ohio State, Georgia and NC A&T are the finalists.
The 6-foot-3 wideout was in Clemson last weekend for the spring game, and things have been trending in a good direction for the Tigers. However, the rival Gamecocks will get one more shot before the announcement, as Sellars is set to be in Columbia this weekend. He has also visited Ohio State and Michigan this spring.
Sellars picked up his offer from the Tigers last September and was on hand for the rivalry matchup against South Carolina to end the regular season. He also returned for the Elite Retreat in March.
The Tigers already have secured commitments from four-star wideouts Naeem Burroughs and Connor Salmin, two highly rated receivers. Adding the 6-foot-3 Sellars to the group would give Clemson an elite-level group of receivers for the 2026 class.
ESPN ranks Sellars No. 144 overall, No. 25 among all receivers in the 2026 class and No. 9 in the state of North Carolina.
Three more Clemson targets will be at Texas this weekend, with four-star DT Bryce Perry-Wright, four-star CB Samari Matthews and four-star DE Dre Quinn all set to be in Austin.
