CHARLOTTE — Clemson has added another quality piece to its 2026 recruiting class.
Four-star WR Gordon Sellars (Providence Day, NC) announced a commitment to the Tigers on Friday during an emotional ceremony at his high school. South Carolina, Georgia, Michigan and North Carolina A&T were the other hats on the table.
The 6-foot-2 wideout has been one of the Tigers’ top wide receiver targets since last fall when Sellars picked up his offer after an unofficial visit last September. The blue-chip prospect would return for the rivalry matchup against South Carolina, then visited for the Elite Retreat last month. He was once again on campus two weeks ago for the spring game.
Sellars also took spring visits to Ohio State, Michigan and South Carolina. His most recent visit was to Notre Dame on Tuesday after the Fighting Irish offered last week.
The addition of Sellars now gives Clemson 14 verbal pledges in a 2026 class that is firmly entrenched inside of the Top 5 nationally. He is the third, and likely final, wide receiver take for this recruiting cycle. Sellars joins other four-stars Naeem Burroughs and Connor Salmin, who both committed the weekend of the Elite Retreat.
Sellars ranks No. 144 in the ESPN 300 and No. 25 among all wide receivers. He also ranks No. 9 in the state of North Carolina.
