Clemson Lands Big Portal Commitment

Brad Brownell has landed another key acquisition via the transfer portal.

The Clemson Insider has confirmed that Middle Tennessee State transfer guard Jestin Porter has committed to Clemson. Porter chose the Tigers over several other schools, including Arizona State and Ole Miss. Porter was considered one of the best mid-major guards in the portal.

As a junior, the 6-foot-1 Porter averaged 15 points, 2.9 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.1 steals per game. He shot 41% from the field and 36.4% from three-point land.

Porter is the sixth portal addition for Brownell, and the second guard the Tigers have landed. He joins big men Nick Davidson, Carter Welling, RJ Godfrey and Jake Wahlin, as well as guard Efrem “Butta” Johnson.

Porter is a rising senior and will have one season of eligibility left.
