More Bad News for South Carolina

A second South Carolina offensive lineman has entered the transfer portal.

Veteran Jakai Moore entered the portal on Thursday, becoming the second offensive lineman from the Gamecocks to enter the portal during the spring window. Redshirt freshman Kam Pringle entered on Wednesday.

Moore spent the last six seasons with South Carolina, appearing in 43 games, with 28 of those being starts.

The 6-foot-6, 315-pound player missed all of last season with a shoulder injury and was granted a medical waiver for a seventh season of eligibility.

Moore was a four-star talent coming out of Patriot High School (Nokesville, VA) and was a member of the Gamecocks’ 2019 recruiting class.

Former four-star quarterback Dante Reno also entered the portal on Thursday. Defensive end Wendell Gregory and CB Emory Smith are other South Carolina players to have hit the portal during the current open window.
