TCI Recruiting Roundup: Reed Checks In On Tennessee Corner

With another contact period in full effect, members of the Clemson coaching staff are once again out on the road making the recruiting rounds.

Earlier this week, cornerbacks coach Mike Reed made a stop in Tennessee to visit with three-star corner Omari Bledsoe (Stewarts Creek).

The 6-foot-4 defensive back currently has more than a dozen offers, with schools like Kansas, Miami, TCU and West Virginia all offering before the start of his junior season. Two of his most recent offers include Wofford and West Georgia. Arkansas State and Eastern Kentucky offered earlier this year. Some of his spring visits include Ole Miss, Charlotte and Arkansas State.

With Dabo Swinney’s high school camp being held the first week in June, it will be interesting to see if Bledsoe decides to come and work out for the staff. While some might consider him an under-the-radar type of prospect, he does possess the length that Reed typically likes in his corners.

The Tigers already have two cornerbacks committed in the 2026 class in four-star Shavar Young and three-star Marcell Gipson, with the staff looking to add at least one more.

Four-star Samari Matthews has long been one of Clemson’s top targets in the class, and he is scheduled to be on hand for the big official visit weekend from May 30 to June 2, but the Tigers aren’t currently considered the favorites to win out in that one.

If we get into the summer months and the staff decides the board needs to be expanded, Bledsoe is at least a name worth keeping an eye on, particularly if he makes it to campus.
