Georgia QB Set to Return to Clemson

Ben Musser is set to make his return to Clemson.

The three-star quarterback (Prince Avenue Christian, Bogart, GA) will work out at Dabo Swinney’s high school camp on June 3.

Musser has visited Clemson multiple times in the past year, including working out for the staff at camp last summer. He was also on hand for the Louisville game last fall and attended the Underclass Experience in March.

With the Tigers set to begin handing out offers to members of the 2027 class in June, this workout will be a big one for Musser and he’s planning on putting his best foot forward in front of head coach Dabo Swinney and offensive coordinator Garrett Riley.

“An offer to play at Clemson, that’s the main goal,” Musser told The Clemson Insider. “Keep building that connection I have with coach Swinney, coach Riley and coach (Tajh) Boyd. Because that is the place I want to play. Last time I was there, I told coach Swinney to his face that I would commit on the spot.”

Musser is a rising high school junior, so communication with Riley has been limited, but he is already familiar enough to know that’s who he wants to play for.

“He’s a very good guy, he’s nice,” Musser added. “He’s everything I am looking for in a coach that I would be spending the next four years with.”

Musser already has more than a dozen offers, including multiple Power-4 schools. Come the summer, that offer sheet will likely expand, as he is also planning to camp at Vanderbilt, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Cincinnati and Alabama.

The 6-foot-2, 200-pound recruit only played half of the season as a sophomore, completing 125-of-207 for 1,472 yards with 15 touchdown passes. He added another 768 rushing yards, with eight scoring runs.

Despite still being early in the process, Musser already knows Clemson is where he wants to play.

“It’s a great culture, a great winning tradition,” Musser said. “They are going to develop you as a person. Once you get done with Clemson, you’re going to come out working for them, because you love it so much, or you’re a great person working a great job. Maybe even make it to the NFL.”
