Highly-Rated QB Sets Return Visit to Clemson

One of the more highly-rated quarterbacks in the 2027 recruiting class is set to visit Clemson.

Four-star Trent Seaborn (Thompson, Alabaster, AL) tells The Clemson Insider he will return to campus on June 7-8 to work out at Dabo Swinney’s high school camp. Seaborn said he plans to work out both days.

Seaborn was last on campus in March, his first visit in more than a year. The 6-foot-1, 200-pound signal caller said the staff made him feel like a priority.

“No doubt, they really make me feel special up there,” Seaborn told TCI after the visit. “And I really love them a lot too.”

The Tigers have yet to start offering 2027 prospects, but will start to do so in June. When they do start going out, Seaborn is certainly a potential candidate to pick up one of the opening offers at quarterback.

Seaborn took over as the starting quarterback at Thompson during the last regular season game in his eighth-grade year. He would go on to help guide the Warriors to a state title. Current Clemson DT Peter Woods was a member of that team.

As a freshman, he guided Thompson back to the state title game, only to fall two points shy of winning it all. That season, he was the MaxPreps National Freshman of the Year after completing 72% of his passes for 2,601 yards. He had 27 touchdown passes to just six interceptions.

Last season, Seaborn and the rest of his teammates were not going to be denied, and he helped pave the way to a second state championship in three seasons.

That success has helped make him one of the most sought-after signal callers in the 2027 recruiting class. Seaborn already has close to 30 offers, with most big-boy football programs across the country showing interest.

Rivals ranks Seaborn No. 124 overall and No. 11 among all quarterbacks.
