A former Clemson standout showed off his cannon of a leg over the weekend.
On Saturday, in Week 7 of the 2025 UFL season, former Tiger kicker B.T. Potter – now kicking for the UFL’s Michigan Panthers – booted a ball between the uprights from very long-distance range.
Potter gave the Panthers a 9-3 lead over the Arlington Renegades when he connected on a season-long 56-yard field goal with 4:19 remaining in the first half.
Potter’s squad went on to win, 25-24, and improve to 5-2 this season.
Potter signed with the Panthers on November 7, 2024. He originally signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers as an undrafted free agent prior to the 2023 season before being released in August 2023.
In seven games for the Panthers this season, Potter has made seven of his 10 field-goal attempts, including his lone attempt from 20-29 yards, all three of his kicks from 30-39 yards, two of his three kicks from 40-49 yards and the 56-yard field goal in Saturday’s game.
He has also logged 34 kickoffs for a total of 2,051 yards (60.3 average).
Potter, now 25, spent five seasons at Clemson (2018-22) and finished with a field goal percentage of 75.3 percent (73-of-97).
He set multiple kicking records while at Clemson, including the longest made field goal in ACC Championship game history (52 yards), becoming the first player in ACC history to have four different 100-point seasons, the most field goals made in Clemson history (73), the most extra points made in Clemson history (234) and the most points by a placekicker in Clemson history (453).
