CLEMSON — The 11th-seeded Clemson Softball team broke open a tied game with three runs in the fourth inning and five in the fifth inning for a 10-2 run-rule victory over USC Upstate in the opening round of the Clemson (NCAA) Regional Friday at McWhorter Stadium.
Kylee Johnson had a three-run home run in the fourth inning to break open the game, while Marian Collins drove in three runs herself thanks to a 3-for-3 night at the plate.
