Local QB Returning to Clemson

CLEMSON — One local quarterback is set to camp at Clemson next week.

2028 QB Jace Grass (Daniel) will work out at Dabo Swinney’s high school camp next Wednesday, June 4.

“Camping at Clemson is special to me because they focus on fundamentals and getting you better all around,” Grass told The Clemson Insider. “Also, getting coached by some of the best coaches in the nation. They stress hard work, but they make it so much fun and beneficial.”

The rising sophomore has been camping at Clemson since the sixth grade and is the son of assistant quarterbacks coach John Grass.

The 6-foot-1 signal caller just nabbed his first Power-4 offer from Syracuse on Wednesday. App State, Louisiana-Monroe, ETSU and Toledo are a few of the other schools to have already offered. Grass recently competed in the UA Next Camp Series and the Carolina Coaches Combine.

Last season as a freshman, Grass threw for 1,969 yards with 18 touchdowns.
