One of Nation’s Top QBs Set to Return

One of the nation’s top 2027 quarterbacks will soon be back at Clemson.

Four-star Peyton Houston (Evangel Christian, Shreveport, LA) tells The Clemson Insider that he will work out at Dabo Swinney’s high school camp on Sunday, June 8. That Sunday is the final day of the camps this year.

Houston last visited for the Underclass Experience back in March, attending a spring practice before having an extended lunch with offensive coordinator Garrett Riley and assistant quarterbacks coach Tajh Boyd.

The 6-foot, 195-pound signal caller now has right at 30 offers, with many of the biggest schools in the country recruiting him. Georgia, Michigan, Florida State, Miami, LSU, Tennessee and Texas are just a few of the schools to have already offered.

As a sophomore, Houston totaled 5,170 yards of total offense. His 4,480 passing yards are a 5A record in the state of Louisiana and he also set an NFHS record with 817 passing yards in one game. Houston was a sophomore MaxPreps All-American and first-team All-State.

Rivals ranks Houston No. 44 overall and No. 6 among all quarterbacks.
