Another Clemson pitcher has put his name in the portal.
Freshman righthander Chayce Kieck has entered the NCAA transfer portal.
Kieck appeared in nine games during his first season at Clemson in 2025, posting a 2-0 record with a 9.75 ERA in 12.0 innings pitched. He allowed 19 hits, 13 runs, five home runs and five walks while striking out 11 batters.
The 6-foot-1, 185-pounder joined the Clemson program ranked as the No. 478 player and No. 157 righthander in the nation by Perfect Game. He was the No. 68 player and No. 14 righthander in Florida, according to Perfect Game.
Kieck lettered four times in baseball at The Bolles School (Jacksonville, Fla.), where he was a first-team all-state selection and the Northeast Florida player of the year as a junior.
His father, Greg, played baseball at Johns Hopkins (1996-00).
Kieck becomes the fourth Clemson pitcher to enter the transfer portal since the 2025 season came to an end on Sunday, joining junior lefthander Ethan Darden and sophomore righthander Luke Brown/redshirt freshman lefty Jackson Cole.
