Fast-Rising In-State RB Returning to Clemson

A fast-rising in-state running back will return to Clemson this week.

2027 running back Aiden Gibson (Woodruff) tells The Clemson Insider that he plans to work out at Dabo Swinney’s high school camp on Wednesday, June 4. It will mark his first time on campus since his freshman year.

The 6-foot-1, 203-pound recruit has had a busy few weeks, picking up offers from South Carolina, Florida and NC State in the month of May. Virginia Tech offered in March, and Gibson has also secured offers from Liberty, Coastal Carolina and Marshall.

As a sophomore, Gibson helped guide Woodruff to a 9-2 record and an appearance in the AAA playoffs. He rushed for 1,555 yards, averaging well over six yards per carry. He had 10 100-yard games and scored 24 rushing touchdowns. He also had 309 receiving yards, and caught three touchdown passes.
