Four-star safety Chance Gilbert (E. Coweta, Sharpsburg, GA) announced an offer from Clemson late Friday. The 6-foot-1, 170-pound defensive back now has more than 20 offers, including Georgia, Alabama, Florida State, Miami, LSU, Tennessee and Texas.

247 ranks Gilbert as the top safety in the class and No. 12 overall regardless of position. ESPN also ranks him as the top safety in the class.
