Former Clemson Pitcher Transferring to Big Ten School

A former Clemson hurler is headed to the Big Ten.

Righthanded pitcher Chayce Kieck announced Friday that he is transferring to Northwestern.

Kieck entered the NCAA transfer portal in early June following his first and only season with the Tigers in 2025.

He appeared in nine games, posting a 2-0 record with a 9.75 ERA in 12.0 innings pitched. He allowed 19 hits, 13 runs, five home runs and five walks while striking out 11 batters.

The 6-foot-1, 185-pounder came to Clemson ranked as the No. 478 player and No. 157 righthander in the nation by Perfect Game. He was the No. 68 player and No. 14 righthander in Florida, according to Perfect Game.

Kieck lettered four times in baseball at The Bolles School (Jacksonville, Fla.), where he was a first-team all-state selection and the Northeast Florida player of the year as a junior.

His father, Greg, played baseball at Johns Hopkins (1996-00).
