Clemson Secures Commitment from 4-Star DT

CLAYTON, NC — Clemson has picked up a huge commitment. Both figuratively and literally.

Four-star DT Keshawn Stancil (Clayton, NC) announced a commitment to the Tigers on Saturday during a ceremony at his high school. Stancil chose Clemson over other finalists Georgia, NC State, Miami and Penn State.

Stancil, who just officially picked up his offer about a month ago, visited for the Elite Retreat in March before returning to campus two weeks ago for an official visit. Stancil spent the entire weekend in town and was the only recruit to take an official to Clemson that weekend.

Last season, Stancil had 63 tackles, 22 tackles for loss and nine sacks.

The 6-foot-3, 260-pound prospect becomes the second defensive tackle take for the Tigers in 2026, joining three-star Kam Cody, who committed back in March. His addition gives Clemson 20 verbal pledges in a class that is firmly entrenched in the Top 10 nationally per the Rivals team recruiting rankings.
