Clemson Hands Out Second QB Offer

A second offer has gone out to a 2027 quarterback.

Four-star Trent Seaborn (Thompson, Alabaster, AL) announced the offer late Friday. Seaborn, who is a former teammate of Peter Woods, was one of the more impressive players at the position to work out at camp last summer.

“An offer from Clemson would truly mean the world,” Seaborn told The Clemson Insider recently. “It’d be a huge step in this whole process. The way they do things, the way they recruit, and the way coach Swinney does things. It’s very special and unique, and I really respect them for it. You can tell with coach Swinney’s success and his resume that the things they do obviously work and have been very, very successful in the past.”

During his ninth-grade season, Seaborn won MaxPreps National Freshman of the Year honors. As a sophomore, he went out and threw for 2,675 yards with 26 touchdowns to just seven interceptions.

Seaborn now has close to three dozen offers, including Alabama, Georgia, Michigan, Oregon, South Carolina and Tennessee. ESPN ranks the 6-foot-1 signal caller No. 115 overall and No. 8 among all quarterbacks in the class.

Seaborn becomes the second quarterback in the 2027 class to secure an offer from Clemson, joining four-star Peyton Houston, who picked up his offer after working out at camp in early June.
