Former Clemson Standout Headed to NBA Summer League

A former Clemson basketball player will be playing in the NBA summer league.

Former Tigers’ big man Viktor Lakhin is on the Oklahoma City summer roster that will compete in the Salt Lake City and Las Vegas summer leagues. The team will be coached by Daniel Dixon, head coach at William and Mary. The Thunder are fresh off an NBA Championship.

Lakhin averaged 11.4 points and 6.4 rebounds per game in his only season at Clemson. He also blocked 50 shots and hit on 24 shots from beyond the arc, both career highs. Several projections had Lakhin tabbed as a late second-round pick in the recent NBA Draft, but he would ultimately go undrafted.

Lakhin spent the first four seasons of his collegiate career at Cincinnati. After taking a redshirt in his first season with the Bearcats, he would go on to finish his college career averaging 9.3 points and 5.8 boards per contest.
