Luke Updates Health of Key O-linemen

CLEMSON — Clemson offensive line coach Matt Luke updated the health of his offensive line heading into fall camp, which will begin on July 31.

In the spring, the Clemson offensive line had a laundry list of players who missed time to due to injuries or postseason surgery. Left tackle Tristan Leigh (foot), right guard Walker Parks (shoulder), tackle Elyjah Thurmon (ankle), tackle Ian Reed (knee), tackle Collin Sadler and guard Dietrick Pennington missed all of or most of the spring.

“Everybody is ready to roll,” Luke said during Clemson Football’s Media Outing at the Allen Reeves Football Complex on Tuesday. “They were not in spring practice, so you did not see them much. But they are full go right now.

“Some are in summer workouts and some are in conditioning, but they will be ready to roll unless something happens between now and then. But right now, they will be full go on Day 1.”

The only guy who still has some work to do between now and camp is Reed, who is coming back from a torn ACL.

“Ian will be back, I believe, full speed,” Luke said. “He is just coming back from that knee and he is trying to get his body right. But I think he will be ready to roll.”
