BC Head Coach Asked About ACC’s Revenue Distribution Changes

CHARLOTTE — The revenue distribution will be different going forward for the ACC with some teams gaining additional revenue and some teams taking a revenue hit.

Boston College head coach Bill O’Brien was asked about how the changes might impact the Eagles.

“Well, I think when you think about it, if you look at last year’s stats relative to actual eyeballs on our games, people watching our games, I think we were pretty high up in the ACC relative to the games that we played,” O’Brien said at the 2025 ACC Football Kickoff. “A lot of people watch Boston College. A lot of people are interested in watching these guys play. We play in a great conference. We play in a fantastic city, in the city of Boston. We have really good players.”

“I think that’s a big part of it,” O’Brien continued. “I think as you move forward down the road, obviously you’ve got to win, and we understand that. But I think when you look at our schedule this year, we’ll have a lot of national games. We’ve got SMU at home, we’ve got Clemson at home, we’ve got Notre Dame at home, we’ve got Michigan State on the road. So we have a lot of marquee games that I think a lot of people will be interested in watching, and I’m excited for that and excited for these guys and excited for our season.”

Clemson will face Boston College in Chestnut Hill, Mass. on Saturday, Oct. 11. The game will be Clemson’s first against O’Brien.

Clemson has won its last 12 meetings with Boston College, including a 5-0 mark in games played in Chestnut Hill since 2011.
