Priority OL Target Returning to Clemson

One of Clemson’s top offensive line targets in the 2027 class will be back on campus soon.

Four-star Carter Jones (Poquoson, VA) tells The Clemson Insider that he will visit for the Tigers’ season-opener against LSU.

The 6-foot-6, 290-pounder has been on campus multiple times in the past, with his most recent visit coming for camp last month. That is when he picked up his offer from the Tigers.

“I was very excited just because I’ve been working for that offer for a long time,” Jones told TCI after the offer. “Because that’s been my team for a while, so that meant a lot to me.”

Jones has seen his stock skyrocket this year and now holds offers from more than 30 schools, including Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, Penn State, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Wisconsin.

Rivals ranks the blue-chip talent No. 195 overall and No. 6 among all interior linemen.

While this has certainly turned into a big boy battle, Clemson is well-positioned.

“They are at the top of the top of the list,” Jones said last month.
