CLEMSON — One of Clemson’s top 2027 safety targets is set to return to campus soon.
Four-star Davion Jones (West Charlotte, NC) tells The Clemson Insider that he plans to visit on August 30 when the Tigers open the season at home against LSU.
The 6-foot, 175-pound defensive back worked out at Dabo Swinney’s high school back in June, and a few days later would announce his offer from Clemson.
“Just thankful for the opportunity,” Jones recently told TCI. “It shows that all the work I put in, it didn’t go to waste or nothing. I’m kind of patting myself on the back about that one.”
Jones holds more than 20 offers and recently named Florida State, Tennessee, South Carolina and Wisconsin as some of the schools that he was hearing from the most.
Rivals ranks Jones No. 119 overall, No. 12 among all safeties and No. 6 in the state of North Carolina.
