4-Star QB Commit Set to Return to Clemson

Clemson’s lone quarterback commit in the 2027 recruiting class is set to be back on campus.

Four-star commit Kharim Hughley (Gainesville, GA) tells The Clemson Insider that he will be on hand when the fourth-ranked Tigers open the season against No. 9 LSU on August 30.

Hughley surprisingly committed to Clemson back in July, less than a week after picking up his offer. He is expected to be the only quarterback take for the Tigers in the next recruiting class.

“I just knew where I wanted to go. It felt right,” Hughley recently told TCI. “I knew where I wanted to be. There was really no point in taking it any further if I know I am going to go to Clemson.”

Hughley chose the Tigers over other offers that included Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, South Carolina and Ole Miss.

ESPN ranks Hughley No. 92 overall, No. 4 among all quarterbacks in the class and No. 14 in the state of Georgia.
