5 Tigers Named to Preseason AP All-America Team

The preseason Associated Press All-America team was announced Monday.

Clemson is one of five teams (Ohio State, Notre Dame, Alabama, Pittsburgh) that each placed two players on the first team.

Clemson senior Cade Klubnik was named the first-team quarterback, while Clemson junior Peter Woods was named a first-team defensive tackle.

Meanwhile, the Tigers placed three players on the second team.

Senior offensive tackle Blake Miller and redshirt junior wide receiver Antonio Williams each made the second-team offense, with junior defensive end T.J. Parker earning second-team defense honors.

Clemson, ranked No. 4 in the AP preseason Top 25, opens the season against No. 9 LSU at Clemson’s Memorial Stadium on Aug. 30 (7:30 p.m., ABC).
