One Clemson commit has added another accolade.
Four-star LB Max Brown (Jefferson, GA) was named a Preseason MaxPreps Junior All-American on Tuesday.
Brown, who is the younger brother of current Clemson LB Sammy Brown, was the first commit of the Tigers’ 2027 recruiting class. He went public the first week of June, just after picking up his offer.
“The people up there, they do it the right way,” Brown recently told TRI. They don’t mess around with none of the underground, shady stuff, and they make sure that you’re going to be a better man than you are a football player. But they’re also going to make sure you’re a better football player than you were when you got there.”
As a sophomore last season, Brown totaled 152 total tackles, averaging more than 10 stops per game. He added 14 tackles for loss, two sacks, a forced fumble and three fumble recoveries.
His junior campaign also got started on a high note, with the blue-chip talent helping lead his team to a 19-0 win over No. 1-ranked Marist. Brown earned Player of the Week honors after racking up 16 total tackles, seven of those going for a loss, while adding a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. He also had 36 rushing yards.
