4-Star Target Has Big Night In Season Opener

One of Clemson’s top tight end targets for the next recruiting class started his junior campaign with a bang.

Four-star Jaxon Dollar reeled in three touchdown grabs to help lead East Lincoln (Denver, NC) to a 60-35 season-opening win over South Iredell.

Dollar had touchdown receptions of 75, 45 and 15 yards, while also adding a sack on the defensive side of the ball.

The Tigers offered Dollar back in June after he worked out at Dabo Swinney’s high school camp. He is just one of two 2027 players at the position to hold an offer from Clemson at this point.

The 6-foot-5, 222-pound recruit currently has close to 30 offers, including Alabama, Georgia, Notre Dame, Ohio State, South Carolina and Texas.

As a sophomore, Dollar totaled 13 receptions for 224 yards, with six touchdown catches. He averaged 17.2 yards per catch.

Dollar ranks No. 80 overall in the 247 Composite Rankings and No. 5 among all tight ends in his class.
