Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney says the “pressure’s on” his two married sons, Drew and Will.
During his radio show Monday night, Swinney was asked when he and Kathleen are going to get their first grandchild.
Right now, Swinney just has a pair of granddogs – one goldendoodle that’s “kinda gray,” and one “little doggy” named Muffin – and he calls himself “Papa Bo” to those granddogs.
“They keep bringing dogs over. ‘Papa Bo’ – that’s what I’ve been calling myself,” Swinney said. “My nephews, they always called me ‘Uncle Bo.’ So, I’ve self-named myself ‘Papa Bo’ to my granddogs. Drew has a little medium goldendoodle. He’s kinda gray, but he’s a boy. And then Will and Hannah just got like a two-pound little doggy. Her name is Muffin, and she’s a girl.
“So, I’ve got a granddog daughter and a grandson dog. That’s where I’m at. So, the pressure’s on. Maybe this time next year.”
The Swinney boys are on the clock for a grandchild, Dabo says.
“Drew’s been married two years, and then Will just celebrated his first year,” he said. “So, they’ve still got a little time, but they’re on the clock.”
