One of the top linebackers in the 2027 recruiting class is set to return to Clemson this weekend.

Four-star Jalaythan Mayfield (Lincolnton, NC) tells The Clemson Insider that he will visit on Saturday when No. 4 Clemson opens the season at home against No. 9 LSU.

Mayfield has already visited multiple times in the past, including a stop back in the spring.

The 6-foot-1, 215-pound linebacker has more than 20 offers, including Alabama, Florida State, Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State, South Carolina and Tennessee.

The 247 Composite ranks Mayfield No. 129 overall, No. 9 among all linebackers in the class and No. 5 in the state of North Carolina.
