Bad News for LSU

While it won’t have any impact on the Clemson-LSU game on Saturday, the Bayou Bengals took a major hit on the recruiting trail just two days before the big season-opener.

Five-star WR Tristen Keys (Hattiesburg, MS) flipped his commitment from LSU to Tennessee on Thursday, after having been committed to the Tigers since March.

The 6-foot-2 prospect is widely considered the top receiver in the 2026 class, and per 247, was the highest-rated player in LSU’s 2026 class.

It marks the second consecutive class in which LSU has the top-rated receiver, then lost that player to a flip. In the 2025 class, five-star Dakorien Moore flipped to Oregon.

LSU still has two highly-touted wideouts committed in the 2026 class, which still ranks inside the Top 10, despite losing Keys on Thursday.
