Clemson Commit Set to Visit for LSU Game

One of Clemson’s current commits is set to return to campus this weekend.

Three-star CB Shavar Young (Webb School, TN) tells The Clemson Insider that he will be on hand when the Tigers open the season on Saturday night against LSU in a Top 10 showdown.

Young made waves earlier in the summer amid rumors of a potential flip. SMU, Michigan, Oregon and Notre Dame were some of the teams that were working to flip the talented corner, who committed to the Tigers last summer. SMU was reported to be the school in the best shape to poach him.

Then, on August 3, Young went public with his intentions to shut things down and remain committed to the Tigers.

Young has been a frequent visitor to Clemson, having been on campus multiple times since announcing his commitment a year ago. He is one of two corners currently committed to the Tigers in the 2026 class, joining three-star Marcell Gipson.
