Desmond Howard had the Tigers on his mind early Saturday. During ESPN SportsCenter Howard discussed his matchup to watch for week one.

“The matchup I wanted you to keep an eye on 7:30 EST ABC LSU verses Clemson, Death Valley verses Death Valley,” the Heisman winner said. “Two veteran quarterbacks. That man right there Garrett Nussmeier 29 touchdowns a year ago only 12 interceptions. Threw for over 4,000 yards. Then you have Cade Klubnik quarterback for Clemson. Another veteran quarterback with 36 touchdowns and six interceptions (last year).”

LSU’s defensive coordinator will have a challenge figuring out how to stop Clemson’s offense.

“I want to see Blake Baker the defensive coordinator for LSU and how is he going to defend Cade Klubnik and the very talented receiving core he’s got.”
