Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney met with the media via Zoom on Sunday evening following his fourth-ranked Tigers’ 17-10 loss to No. 9 LSU in the season opener for both teams at Clemson’s Death Valley on Saturday night.
While Parks was dressed and available, he did not play in Saturday’s game. He was out on the field stretching during pregame warmups, and he was also listed as a co-starter at right guard along with Elyjah Thurmon on the depth chart Clemson released before the game.
On Sunday evening during his weekly Zoom call, Swinney said Parks was available in Saturday’s loss to LSU on an emergency basis.
“Just kind of getting him back full go,” Swinney said. “He just missed a lot of live practice, but it was good to have him available. We will ramp him on up this week.”
One of the few remaining super seniors, Parks has faced his share of adversity in recent years. In 2023, Parks suffered a season-ending injury in Week 2. He logged just 123 snaps that season.
Parks bounced back last year, starting all 14 games, while earning third-team All-ACC honors.
Clemson returns to action when it hosts Troy next Saturday with kickoff set for 3:30 p.m. on ACC Network.
