Freshman OL Out for Season

One of Clemson’s freshmen offensive linemen will miss the rest of the season.

Easton Ware will need season-ending surgery due to a shoulder injury suffered in fall camp.

“Easton Ware, he is going to be out,” Swinney said. “He has been battling a shoulder, and we were going to try and get him through the year, but it kind of came out again, so they have to go ahead and do surgery on him. So he will be out for the year. He will redshirt.”

Ware was one of the freshmen standouts early in camp before the injury.

“Easton has really caught my eye on the right side,” Harris Sewell said early in camp. “He is a big dude. He has got strong hands. He is doing really well.”

Ware is a former four-star recruit who enrolled early back in January. He hails from Liberty Christian in Virginia and was teammates with freshman running back Gideon Davidson.
