No. 3 Clemson Tops No. 10 Pitt in Friday Night Action

Ransford Gyan netted his second brace of the season capped off with a goal from Nathan Richmond to push the No. 3 ranked Tigers over No. 10 ranked Pitt 3-2 on Friday night at Historic Riggs Field. The 3-2 win marks the first ACC win of the season for the Tigers.

Pitt struck first in the 5′ but Ransford Gyan quickly found the back of the net in the 21′ to record his fifth goal of the season. Gyan didn’t wait very long before kicking in his sixth goal of the season, drawing out Pitt’s keeper to net a wide open goal in the 36′. Gyan now has two braces this season. Pitt scored their second goal to even the score 2-2 in the 62′. 

In the 80′, Nathan Richmond found the right corner of the goal to net the match winning goal. Richmond has now scored in four straight matches this season.
